Several clubs have decided that enough is enough and they won’t put up with poor performances anymore. When a team doesn’t perform at a required level the first to blame, of course, is the manager. Here is the list of some major changes that took place recently.
Mourinho-out, Guss Hiddink-in.
Jose Mourinho was sacked on Thursday afternoon. Few days later Guss Hiddink was appointed as the team’s new manager until the end of the season on “caretaker” basis. The prime reason for Abramovich to sack The Special One obviously was the team’s poor and unacceptable performance so far this season. There are also some rumors suggesting that José Mourinho was sacked over ‘palpable discord’ with players. Guss Hiddink was at the helm of blues during 2009.
2.Guardiola will leave Munich
The news that Pep will leave Bayern isn’t surprising, as it follows months of speculation about Guardiola’s future and his reluctance to sign a new contract. The Bayern chief executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said: “We are grateful to Pep Guardiola for everything he has given our club since 2013. I am convinced Pep and our team will now work even more intensively towards achieving our major sporting goals – especially as it is now confirmed Pep is to leave Bayern.”
Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to replace the Spanish specialist at the end of the season.
